What is “Lesettimane”? Your week with Alpine Guide Giorgio Peretti
Maestro Giorgio Peretti believes the best way to appreciate a particular experience, to take full advantage of the resources of an area and to establish lasting relationships with the traditions of its people, is to spend a week in an alpine mountain program. He calls this program “Lesettimane” which in Italian means “the weeks”. Although Lesettimane also offers programs and itineraries lasting for one day or several days depending on an individual’s or group’s wishes, Giorgio believes the real essence of the alpine experience can be maximized with a one-week stay.
Lesettimane offers guided skiing or ski instruction on the beautiful and well-groomed trails of Cortina. There is also the possibility of taking advantage of the great variety of pistes throughout the Dolomites with their spectacular scenic itineraries. In addition Lesettimane provides expeditions for off-piste skiing, ski touring and snowshoeing.
Alpine mountain climbing and rock climbing expeditions can be arranged throughout the Alps. Classic climbing routes to spectacular summits, hiking excursions, climbs on cable equipped routes (via ferrate), high routes (haute route), and trekking expeditions to various locations in the Alps are all possible.
In addition to programs in the Alps, Lesettimane offers similar excursions on Elba Island, Corsica and on Marseille’s Calanques. Here again you can select the excursions that are suitable for your level of ability and preparation. Lastly, Lesettimane offers “Il Giorno Grande”, The Grand Day. This is an unusual combination of activities that involves one day rock climbing, one day ski touring and one day cross-country skiing along a route from Cortina’s high and beautiful Falzarego Pass to Dobbiaco, nearly 40 kilometers to the northeast.
Lesettimane invites you to be in the mountains together with your guide Giorgio Peretti to share moments of adventure, new experiences and joy. The basic rules of safety are always observed in an easy and comfortable manner, guaranting your safety. You develop an affinity for the mountains, you feel secure and, as Giorgio says, the mountains become your friends.

Mountaineering Experience of Giorgio Peretti
Giorgio has worked for over three decades as a mountain guide and climber in all mountaineering disciplines in the most challenging environments. He has made ascents of some of the world’s toughest climbs from the Himalayas to Alaska. At the same time he is a devoted ski instructor and impassioned backcountry ski guide and aficionado. Giorgio started his own mountaineering school in 1975 (also called Lesettimane) and then joined the well-respected Cortina Alpine Guides Group in 1990 where he worked for 16 years leading skiing and climbing tours throughout Europe and other parts of the world. He brings passion, professionalism and joy to his work as well as knowledge and a love for mountaineering life and traditions.
